Very clean hotel with a friendly staff. The block it sat on wasn't the best area to be in though, too many drugged up people hanging out on the street, especially at night, hence 4 stars. It's only a few blocks up from the inner harbor which has no shortage of things to see or do, so the location was great! Parking garage on the other side of the street cost $25 to park overnight which was $10 cheaper than the hotels valet service. Overall great hotel though and would recommend it.
Just want to take a minute to complement the staff at the new Baltimore hotel for my stay on 12 November. Being disabled I have to admit that I am a somewhat finicky customer on some things but the team there did an outstanding job of making sure all of my needs were met. From making sure my oxygen was delivered to ensuring the room setup that I wanted. In addition to being professional, knowledgable and friendly, I feel that they went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. I would certainly recommend the facility to others visiting the area.
The room was nice and spacious. But, when it came to parking (since we arrived later) the staff working the front desk said there was no one to park our car for us. They finally radioed for the vallet who then told us just to park in the 24-7 public garage.
My family really enjoyed this hotel. We stayed overnight while visiting the Aquarium, Science Museum and the pier. Our room got upgraded since the hotel filled up due to some convention- lucky! There was construction outside, but it didn't interfere with our sleep and was actually fascinating to watch. At night the location wasn't great to walk around and the 7-11 right across the street is sketchy (-1 star) . Clean room, comfy beds, nice staff.
I did not care for this Residence Inn. The front desk and valet service are rude. The ushers had no idea where anything was...they couldn't even point out the inner harbor. There is no happy hour...the residence inn decided to put in a for-profit restaurant vs doing "free happy hours". The breakfast was decent.
