The rental agent at the location went out of her way to make sure my reservation was satisfied even though there were no cars available at the time of my scheduled pick up. It was genuine, authentic customer service. I had a very special wedding outside of Baltimore and a birthday party in Washington, DC that same night for a friend recently diagnosed with lung cancer. Both were very important to me, and this rental played a critical role in allowing me to make both events. I only hope all rental agents are as caring and customer service focused as this one was.
Waited 30 minutes to pick up my car u already reserved waited 40 just to drop it off.
We arrived at the office a second time, the worker was sorry but gave our reserved compact car away to the couple in front of us and did not know anything about special weekly rates. All they could tell us was "I am sorry, I don't know anything about this". He would not make any phone calls to clear up the lack of communication. What a nightmare! To follow-up I have been trying to call the office to discuss the situation & they keep putting me on hold & will not picking up the phone.
I was definitely nervous when I first walked in because the place is not the most professional looking office or the cleanest by far. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Both ladies (one at the check in process and one at the check out process) were friendly and answered all my questions and were not pushy about trying to sell me extra products. I received a newer, nice and clean Nissan Sentra with lots of options and gas saver friendly. I had the car from Monday-Friday and the total cost me $155 (plus approximately $22 to fill it back up prior to return) with a major credit card and NO DEPOSIT! The service here was much better than Enterprise who requires a $250 deposit plus the cost of the rental car even with a major credit card on file. I was very impressed and upon needing a rental car again when I'm in the area, I will definitely go back to Avis!!
My wife and I had a very bad experience. 1st, Enterprise was substantially cheaper but they were not open on Sunday. I explained to AVIS I wanted to rent a compact car - good on gas mileage. They assured me they had compact cars. We arrive at the rental office & they did not. We ended up receiving the next size vehicle. Which they thought we should be very happy, not understanding or caring what we requested. We also requested the cheapest rate or special but after signing the agreement we found out their were special cheaper rates by the week. We took off from work to go back to the rental office to open up a new lease for a "compact" car. Again they promised me I would have a compact car and special rates for the new lease. She (Ms. Olivia) assured me she would tell her co-worker what we had requested.
Please try to avoid to go to this rental place, I had a bad experience.
