I feel so lucky to be able to walk outside and step right into the most beautiful park in Baltimore. So much rich history and fun activities all year round.
This is a beautiful Park. The only problem is, it has very limited parking. The only place to park, is on the street. And you better be good at parallel parking, because that's all you're going to find. We had to walk over two and a half blocks just to get to the park after we parked the car. Now that was on a Saturday, so it might be different if you came at a non peak time.
Lots of old trees, great for running and walking your dog. A park that has souls and can be found quite peaceful for afternoon walks. I did see the need for maintenance and cleanliness in certain area of the park.
From the lighting of the Pagoda, to ethnic festivals and helicopter rides, it's not hard to fall in love with this corner of the city.
I took my dog to the dog park there today. It was on a Tuesday around 2pm. They have a small dog/senior dog side and a big dog side which is much larger. There is water for dogs and recycled grocery bags to pick up your dog waste. I expected a bigger space for to the size of Patterson Park in general. I just wish it was a larger area for the dogs.
Huge awesome park. Rolling hills are great for dog walking, which I saw plenty of people doing. Mature trees and open grassy spaces alike. Lovely fountain and sweet pagoda that was free to climb up in. Would have liked some public flush toilets rather than port-o-johns. But still. Gorgeous views of the city.
