This place is a glorified prison. You're given zero freedom to come and go as you please. You're given decent therapy but the other 21 hours of the day here are an absolute waste and you're just here so they can collect insurance money since inpatient generates more revenue than outpatient. Thanks for wasting my time by not allowing me to be strictly outpatient.
The BEST ED in Baltimore. Nurses, PA's, Tech's, staff, Registrars, Floor Tech's have always been nice and caring to me. I live about 35 minutes away but this is the only place I go for emergency treatment. Everyone is so nice, educated and caring. This is my second visit here in 3 months and my experiences have been very pleasant. It helps a lot when you are very sick and you go for treatment and everyone is kind, attentive and understanding. I've worked for several hospitals and have worked for MedStar in the past. Makes me very proud to be associated with you all. THANK YOU. Nurse Stella, Tech Keara, PA Erin and even the floor techs who were on shift.
Nursing staff on the 2nd floor east wing and physical and occupational therapy very knowledgeable and compassionate and in tune with you as a patient. THE CARE YOU GIVE ALL YOUR PATIENT'S.LOVE JOYCE WRIGHT-El
I came in last night /this morning, I was short of breath, dizzy and covered in hives,I was put in room 23 after registration, which was very fast compared to other hospitals in Baltimore,The nurse was very professional her name starts with M,can't remember. The problem I had was that I wasn't given the best care,no blood work was done to determine why I had the hives despite the fact that I told them it started after having surgery last month,I was just given benadryl and steroids. My blood pressure was150/89 and was discharged 3 hours later, without checking to see if it was still elevated or had gone down.I felt it was a waste of time.I asked the Nurse if they will test my blood after drawing 4 bottles from me,she said that the Doctor ,Dr Mums didn't request for blood work to be done.
