It was really good. The service wasgood as well. I ordered their signature coconut cream cheese stuffed French toast. That was pretty good, I think the cream cheese could have been sweeter maybe mix in whipped coconut milk which is what I was expecting but still good. Definitely more than I could eat. The drinks were super good! They made sure we were happy which is always a 5 star in my book. Would go again? ABSOLUTELY!!
Food was basic. Nothing spectacular. Server was fine. Tables are small & crowded. We were sat next to the most annoying guy ever so that made the experience worst. Good sweet tea though. The sausage gravy had an odd flavor. Food was delivered quickly.
My husband and I came from Abbotsford, BC Canada to watch the Ravens play in their home field and was directed by hotel staff to go to Miss. Shirleys for breakfast and it was obvious why once there. People outside waiting for a table was the first indicator it must be good. Even though it was packed we were seated right away and service was very quick! There were so many options I couldn't decide what to get. Our server BRANDON was amazing! So kind and helpful. He answered questions about our food and about what to do in the city as well. We will be spending our last breakfast there before heading home. Thank you
One of my favorite spots for breakfast is Miss Shirley's. The prices are respectable; the food is delicious. I particularly enjoy the chicken and waffles. The only drawback I've noticed is the cramped tables in the back serving area. Unless you don't mind rubbing elbows with strangers while dining, ask for a booth or a table in the front room.
Recommended by our hotel this is THE place for breakfast in Baltimore. We waited about ten minutes for a table then sat with Ruthie. Coffee was delicious and service was attentive. Being Yankees we wanted to try entrees we don't get in NJ. Thelma had the chicken and waffles which were amazing! The waffles were savory and the chicken crispy and slightly sweet. I had eggs, andouille sausage and grits. All were perfect. It bothers me other reviews complained about the price and the wait. This isn't a diner it's the best and to get the best you pay more and wait. Our check was $33. Not bad considering it was the best meal of our trip.
