OMG!!! What a great time I had with KB TOURS!!! Jamal is full of great information, very passionate about our black history. Best tour EVER! Very clean nice bus. The driver Mike kept us safe. Also we were a couple minutes late and KB TOURS waited for us... Thank you for your service and keep doing what you are doing. Jamal is AMAZING y'all!!!
STAYYYY AWAYYY FROM THIS PLACE! This is not a tourism or travel company. The "company" consist of one woman. Whom is unorganized, unprofessional, and should not be in the tourism or travel business. The owner, Michelle, conducts herself as if she is a patron and not the travel guide. Here's my experience with KB Tours; I dropped my Mom off for a cross country trip( leaving from Maryland) Sunday night. I had a bad feeling from the start, because the tour cost over $1400, and each time my Mom made a payment she had to track Michelle down for a receipt ( and I mean literally track her down, she had to go to her house several times). Also, their were many errors on the itinerary provided. I also feel it is necessary to state that the itinerary never contained any wording or phrasing ' itinerary subject to change'. The buses were scheduled to depart at 9pm. However, Michelle ( the owner ) did not arrive to the pick-up destination until 12am!!! The buses did not arrive until 10ish and when they did arrive...well..they definitely were not the buses that my Mother had been told they would be traveling on. The first bus was damaged, and a seat was broken, there was no wifi ( as promised ),not enough seats, baggage personnel( if you can call the bus driver and two other random ppl luggage personnel). Several people left, in-between waiting hours for the buses to arrive and then nearly 2 hrs until they departed, demanding a full refund. Mind you, there was over 100 ppl set to go on this trip. So, when Michelle finally shows up after 12am she promptly gets onto the 1st of 2 buses, sits in the back and goes to sleep. Before she arrived there was one elderly woman, with 1 incorrect seating chart, trying to seat the over 100 ppl waiting. When Michelle arrived we expected some sort of announcement that would be made on both buses, and for all of the issues to be resolved. Michelle never made any announcement or apologies for being 3 hrs late. The buses did not leave the pick-up area until after 1am. I was shocked. So picture this, you are scheduled to leave at 9pm to travel to the first destination Chicago. The buses are crammed, the first bus has leaky windows and is damaged from the previous trip to Foxwood Casino in which the bus struck a parked limousine ( unfortunately my Mother was on that same bus in the beginning of September), the luggage is stuffed to the max both under and in the overhead space, the supposed tour guide shows up 3 hrs late and takes a nap. But you think to yourself, at least I'm on my way to Chicago! Scheduled to arrive at 1pm and then check- in at the hotel around 3. But wait, we left 4 hrs late,?!!?? Is that not going to push all of scheduled destinations and tours back by 4 hrs??The bus made numerous unplanned stops enroute and did not arrive until 7pm!! But you think, maybe Michelle will apologize and get everything squared away once we reach Chicago , and now we can follow the previously schduled itinerary? Nope. We get to Chicago, and the 2nd bus leaves 4 ppl at Navy Pier! The "tour guide" is on the first bus with all of the contact information, hopefully, and it is the 2nd bus that has left 4 ppl behind. So, because no head count was conducted and Michelle has absolutely no one assisting her on the 2nd bus the bus driver is left asking " does anyone know who we left"? Nope. The next day we are scheduled to arrive in Minnesota at 3pm and check- in at the hotel at 4:30pm. Nope. We don't get to Minnesota until 2am and of course Michelle has not made the correct reservations or thought about the well being of the people traveling..1 bed for 2ppl double or rooms have a bed and a pull out couch ( that's sooo comfortable after traveling from Maryland to Chicago and then a 10 hrs trip from Chicago to Minnesota without stopping for dinner). Now we get 3 hrs to see Mall of America, one the prescheduled destinations. Needless to say, My Mom is on a trip from hell not scheduled to return until October 3rd ( or 6th who knows ). I will be looking to pursuing legal action against Michelle.
