Other than that loved it.
2. AC/Heat unit in living room.. its like a generator right behind you while trying to watch TV. Only one of them can be on at a time.
Pros:
I didn't love living here. However the price was fair, it's in a great location, my apartment was a nice size, and I never had an issue with bugs on the second floor. Maintenance staff were a little intrusive at times (knocking once and then letting themselves in/leaving tools behind while you're gone) but you didn't have to wait long for them to fix things. They are dog friendly and accommodated my service dog with little hassle.
1. thin walls
The heat/ac unit is super loud and right in the living room. It is right off a busy street so car horns and sirens galore. There were a few sticky fingers in my complex which was annoying. And of course, the smell of marijuana once and a blue moon.
However, management staff, especially Mrs. Gilmore, are extremely responsive, professional, kind, and courteous. They knew me, and most residents by name. It was very easy to interact with them. If you're a single, busy professional I wouldn't advise a move here unless you get the 3rd floor. As far as apartments go, seriously, not bad.
4. Accumulation of ice on roof = drips in living room/ bed room
2. Kishawna at leasing office was nice during my time at this place
the apartment manager is very rude and a liar. The AC is very loud, we've had many problems with ants infesting our apartment and you can smell marijuana in the hallways. I'm glad this will all be over soon!
5. Drug activities during warm nights..
However, it is so NOISY. I had college kids "turning up" every night next door, the neighbor below me kept a steady string of women, and the couple above me were violently fighting all the time while their loud music blasted into my apartment. When they were not fighting their kids were recreating WWF most memorable moments above my bedroom. Despite numerous complaints the noise went on the ENTIRE time I was there.
cons
I really liked my apartment here, it was spacious and updated. the area is quiet. management was helpful for the most part.
The only issue I really had was noise, really loud music, kids running up and down the hall stairs and riding scooters/bikes in the hall.
4. 3rd floor no noise problems
3. discount for students
I lived at Park Crescent for 5 years in a basement apartment. From the beginning the apartment had a mold and mildew problem, when I called bout it the maintenance guy came and sprayed something to cover it up. I cleaned and cleaned up the mold monthly and it kept coming back. I also had to use moisture absorbents to keep the moisture down. It was so much moisture that it ruined some of my clothes and furniture. When I complained about the moisture the maintenance crew gave us a dehumidifier but only left it temporarily. The other problem was that when I opened my living room window dirt from the mulch fell into my apartment and there was dirt along the window that had to be cleaned up often. The kitchen cabinets and drawers were outdated and falling apart, although I was promised an updated apartment. After I lived there for that long I began to dislike the floor plan, the kitchen being the hallway to the bathroom and bedrooms in the 2 bedroom was not ideal. Park Crescent keeps their landscapes very pristine and the management office team is very nice. My advice if you move here is to not take a basement apartment.
1.No issues of rats/insects etc.
