While the staff is generally friendly, they never have my son's meds so he has to go days without anything. It's not like he takes some super uncommon medication so I can't understand why they never have it.
Anyways, just a bad first impression and I'm a little hesitant to start getting any of my prescriptions filled there permanently if they are making up rules and laws all willy nilly.
I absolutely can not stand this pharmacy!! First off they aren't friendly at all, never have been. Second off i go there every month for my meds (only because of the convenience) They are sometimes out of my meds, which i get every month!! Lastly i have been short on my medications twice the past 2 months!! Yes short by 10 pills, I call them, they watch the tape, return my phone call to say oh the tech made a mistake, she thought it was 20 not 30!! I get 30 a month every month!! How do you make such a horrible mistake when i know the tech counts it then the pharmacist is supposed to recount it before it is bagged.. This place is an absolute joke!!
Granted this was based on one visit, but it was a super important visit. I needed a refill on my medication as I was completely out and without it, I get quite sick. Anyway, I take the paper prescription to the lady at the pharmacy and ask if I can pay out of pocket for a days supply as my insurance wouldn't cover it until about 3 days later. We'll, she not only says no, she tells me it's illegal and she's never even heard of that being done. This is bullcrap because I do it maybe 2-3 times a year, depending on circumstance, and I know it's been done by a couple different pharmacies. One of them being the Wal-Mart pharmacy on Petrie Way!
For the most part there's really never a wait for your prescriptions which is great, unlike other places where it takes hours! Only issue I have is it would be nice if they would call when there is a problem with a prescription instead of you getting there and then finding out that they couldn't fill it or its not covered. A little heads up would be nice!
Very frequently (like 1 in 3 visits) they don't have the meds on hand and we have to come back a few days later to pick it up. I can understand this for one a off rx, but recurring refills? They have 30 days to prepare for the refills on my blood pressure meds or my wife's diabetes rx! It's not like we're ordering something exotic that's off the formulary. Irbesartan and metformin are common medications. They're also really slow, taking 30 minutes or more to dispense a pre-counted blister pack! They can't blame the insurance either, because some of my meds are cheaper full price than the copay. Seriously considering getting my prescriptions filled elsewhere.
