Eye doctor was great but the front desk clerks seems to not know what they're doing or rushing. The front desk staff told my husband that he was not eligible for an eye exam but he was. Then the front desk clerk told my husband his insurance will not cover the eye exam but they are participating providers and so is the doctor. I had to call our insurance and have them talk to Katzen front desk staff to clear things up. My husband went to his appointment and was sent the bill. Again I had to call our insurance to speak with Katzen at Mercy. Katzen did the error by not entering in all the insurance info and will send my husband's eye exam bill to our insurance. I know no one's perfect but that's too many mistake.
It's a great experience from the reception area thru the eye exam!! I really like Dr. Eric Williams! He's extremely professional and courteous. I've been going there for years and won't go anywhere else!
But the wait, even at a mid-morning appointment, was very long--like 45 minutes. It was my first visit, so I don't know how typical this was. But no one said anything about the delay, which makes me think it happens a lot there.
Good, professional care, courteous staff and doctor. Office space was fine. My appointment was on the 5th floor, which is a bit less chaotic than the 9th floor office, where the optometry work is done.
Staff is friendly & helpful. Been a patient for over 15 years. Dr. Williams cares about his patients. Always gives the best advice & care to me.
Customer service is trash. And they take forever. Had to return to the same place three different times to get my exam and contacts
