This place is amazing. I really liked the atmosphere of a speak easy bar. Long secret staircase up to a top level ritzy dim lit room with greenery and chandeliers everywhere. The drinks were fancy and delicious and the happy hour appetizers were unbelievably delicious and came out super quick! I liked them so much I ended up getting a full meal too! Definitely want to bring my friends back here!
If you like a thoughtfully crafted cocktail and a chill bar atmosphere where you can actually have a conversation, Bluebird will be your happy place. The owner takes so much care and pride in his work, the bartenders are super friendly (and awesome mixologists), and the vibe is a totally chill Paris meets Portland scene.
Be aware that they don't let themselves fill up to standing-room-only and if you're not seated at the bar, they have a designated area to order from. This is a little weird for some people, but the result is you don't have to battle with other patrons to get a bartender's attention. Different than most other bars, but personally, I really dig it.
Our daughter brought us here during a recent visit to Baltimore. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this place! Great atmosphere with lots of cozy seating around the perimeter, large group tables in the center, and plenty of seating at the bar. The ambiance is fantastic, and the cocktails are creative and tasty. Parking can be tricky in this neighborhood (like most of Baltimore), but it's worth it.
Love the space -- it's got an old world vibe with a spacious modern layout. Our experience here was tripped up by the service. We had to ask for our table to be cleared and the 'fast casual' set up for bar service didn't deliver. Our food beat our first round of drinks by at least 10 minutes and my remark to the server about it was met with little more than a raised eyebrow. The lack of table service basically just meant that no one was accountable for making sure each party was well attended. We went elsewhere for our next drink.
Fantastic place! I came here to have a drink and the environment was just lovely. Lights were down and it was kind of cozy. Perfect for dinner or a drink. I was here on a week day and even though there were plenty of people it was very easy to get a table
