Make your appointment before you go see the Govt. Money Man. Funny how missed that a drove here just to be told. Was not in the letter I received and forget trying to get through on the phone!
I had a major computer malfunction after filing my taxes last year so I needed a copy of my taxes so after MULTIPLE attempts on line, I went to the IRS office. No line, Cool! Except there is no line because everybody has to make a appointment. So I call the line to make a appointment except I cannot make a appointment without information off of my tax form, ok. So I am screwed, ok moving on. So we leave, go back to the parking garage. 23 dollars for less than a hour and the credit card scanner is offline. So now we are pooling money to escape from this hell. So I wonder if they will call me when my taxes don't get filed at all?
I went to the IRS office today. The lady at the reception desk was very rude. She was looking up something on her computer, and so she asked me to wait. I was first and the only person in the line. After 3-4 minutes, she asked me my purpose of visiting and if I had an appointment. I did not have an appointment. I understand they did not have to attend to me, if I did not have an appointment. She directed me to make and appointment, and said we cannot help you. However, she was not polite and was miffed at the very fact that she was interrupted and had to help someone, who clearly did not have an appointment.
CAN NEVER SPEAK TO A LIVE REP! SO ANNOYING! SITE IS ALWAYS DOWN VERY ANNOYING! CAN NEVER GET INFO NEEDED!!!!!! EVERYTHING IS AUTOMATED AND MY ISSUE DOES NOT FIT INTO THE CATEGORIES!!!! I ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY HATE DOING BUSINESS WITH THE IRS! BY FAR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PLANET!
I was there recently and had the pleasure of working with Ms Carlos. She was very professional and a charm to work with. She eased my tension about being fearful of the IRS. I would highly recommend this office. I have never been served better.
