I wanted to post a pic of the lion viewing window that is MUCH bigger than any windshield. (someone was negatively commenting about it and it being smaller than his windshield)

Great size for my 2.5 yo. You can see as much or as little as you want. There's a bit of a walk to get to the animals, but there's also a tram you can take. A playground near the entrance is the perfect stop on the way out. Parking is free and pretty accessible. Our favorite parts were the penguins and giraffe enclosures.

It's a really nice zoo, actually! I went as a research trip and most of the animals looked like they were being taken well care of. It has some fun activities for children as well to learn and explore. They're mostly for kids of a younger age, but anyone can enjoy (except adults :P). It's a lot nicer than the D.C Zoo, however I noticed that a lot of (neglectful) parents just let their children roam free.

Lots of fun! I found there was very good food, prices and service. My children loved the slide and the lions, flamingos, polar bears, and apes were the best. They were very informative about animals and you could tell safety was their number one priority. I would definitely suggest this above many other zoos I have visited.

We LOVE this zoo! Very easy to navigate and plenty to see. We always see a great variety of the "main attraction" animals. There are always a few not visible, but that is any zoo.

We love this zoo! The children's zoo wilderness area is such a fun trail to walk, make sure to check out the otters and explore the cave and under the tree slide! And you end at the barnyard where you can brush and pet the goats. Feeding the giraffes is another special experience ($). We have had a membership for several years and drive 1.5 hours to get there. Parking is free and you can pack your own lunch. They have a play area at the entrance but we've never had enough time to play, there is so much to see in the zoo! The new penguin exhibit is beautiful.
