Nice looking furniture. Questionable quality. Poor customer service.
Super helpful staff....very cool designs. Well worth a visit!!
We recently bought a desk from Arhaus - we were told it was an original piece from India. After looking at the website following our purchase and bringing the item home - we find that it is "inspired by authentic antiques handcrafted in traditional Chinese styles'" and not an original at all. No doubt, we paid more for this item because we thought was an original antique. Do not trust the sales people here. We would return but, the restocking fee is ridiculous. This experience is infuriating.
The furniture is gorgeous. Not all of the floor staff were helpful though. One lady was as professional as can be, and so well spoken. One didn't even bother to check in with me as I was deciding upon fabric, and she actually "forgot" to look up a simple question for me on the website, I had to follow up with her. Really, for this price customer attention is paramount.
There is no doubt that the style and quality is very nice. However, the prices are very high and so I expect excellent style and quality at that pricepoint. The problem is the customer service. I bought 2 chairs for $3500 which is more than I would normally spend. I made the purchase in July 2016 and they were just delivered 9 months later! It has been a nightmare. It took 4 months for delivery (vs the 8-12 week commitment) and the fabric was wrong. It took 3 weeks for Arhaus to agree to the mistake and make it right. I worked with sales people, the store manager, and "concierge service" via many emails and phone calls. Finally I got agreement in writing to fix the error which they made. I received no apology, no compensation. I asked to be put at the front of the line to produce the correct chairs - I was told they would make the request. The delivery of the correct chairs came 4 months later! I am beyond disappointed. 9 months to receive 2 chairs is just not acceptable. While I like the chairs, the terrible experience overshadows the product itself.
A close friend purchased a very expensive sofa from here which broke in less than a year after purchase. When I looked closely I saw that the wooden frame had cracked where there was a knot in the wood. Customer service including management were very adamant that they could send out the repair tech at our cost but it would likely not be covered by any warranty and we would be responsible for additional repair charges. Would not shop here or recommend. There are plenty of stores to choose from.
